Description:
Can you picture yourself driving up a vineyard in the Carneros valley of Sonoma and working at a winery where you greet, meet and share your passion of wines with our visitors so that they too can take that passion home with them? If you are a “people person”, energetic and want to spend 3 days a week doing something fun, while getting paid, apply today!
•Greets all visitors and provides information about our wines and products to our visitors, including information about the production of sparkling wine and the history of Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves.
•Conducts guided tours through the winery explaining the production of sparkling wine and the history of Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves, while assuming responsibility for safety of tour group.
•Maintains good stock of wine and non-wine gift items in the Tasting Room.
•Prepares and maintains the cleanliness of the Tasting Room, terrace and tour route for visitors.
•Provides table service of wines to our visitors.
•Handles routine transactions, which include operating cash register and credit card machine. May account for daily sales and bank deposits.
•May be requested to attend special events and tastings outside the winery for special pourings.
Required Experience:
• Retail sales and/or food and beverage service experience helpful.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service and leadership experience.
• Must be comfortable with public speaking. Some wine knowledge preferred, but not required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
Spanish speaking a plus.
Required Education:
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Comments:
Hours: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Days: Saturday or Sunday AND 2 other week days
